"Dolores, Not Lolita" is a video research project I created in 2020. It was inspired by the novel, "Lolita" by Vladimir Nabokov. It explores ideas of blame, fault, and shame that are wrongfully placed on children who are sexually assaulted by adults, and how their innocence can be stolen from them by not only people, but our culture at large.
"MadeUp" is an exploration of the relationship between my own femininity and how society views stereotypical femininity.
